How important is it to have child-safe blinds in my home?

VERY important if you have young children living in or visiting the home!

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents reported that there have been at least 33 toddler deaths connected to blind cords since 2001, occuring in instances where children have been left with unsafe blinds, often getting tangled in hidden loops or operating cords.
