VBC Premier Blinds are now able to offer customers a survey, quote and installation service for our quality blinds and shutters. All appointments will be carried out following Government guidelines to ensure we protect our employees and customers.

Current guidance for the Survey, Quote & Installation of Blinds & Shutters

To reduce risk, exposure and to avoid multiple visits, we would encourage customers to be in a position to proceed with an order, that all decision makers are present and that we are only asked to visit customers’ homes when necessary.


Who cannot book an appointment?

We will not provide a home appointment for anyone that is any of the following:
  • Anyone classed as being ‘at risk or vulnerable’
  • Anyone self-isolating
  • Anyone who has shown symptoms of coronavirus within the last 14 days
  • Anyone who has traveled outside the UK and returned within the last 14 days

 

Appointment Times:

To cater for increased Health & Safety Measures (e.g. tools and equipment being cleaned between appointments) and new working guidelines etc we will request that appointment times are as flexible as possible. We will always try to accommodate the preferred day and time slot requested, but due to the large geographical area that we cover and previously booked appointments this is not always possible.


How will we keep safe during a home measuring appointment?

  • We will ask customers to maintain a 2m social distance
  • We will ensure good hand hygiene and will wash our hands or use sanitiser before, during and after your appointment
  • We will wear protective masks / face coverings in instances where the 2m social distance is not possible to maintain
  • We will recommend that customers wear protective masks / face coverings and ensure good hand hygiene by washing their hands or using sanitiser if they are touching sample books or swatches
  • We will ask that customers remove any items from window sills and that windows are easy to access with any furniture moved etc
  • We will ask for doors to be left open and rooms to be ventilated if possible, prior to our arrival

 

Can I look at and touch samples?

  • We will try and get a clear understanding of the customers’ requirements prior to the appointment. This will allow us to reduce the number of books and samples brought into the home and reduce the risk associated with moving them between households
  • Where possible, we will show you the samples / swatches from a safe distance as this will reduce the amount of touching of the samples / swatches
  • If required, customers can look at the samples / swatches closer, but we ask that your hands are sanitised or washed before doing so and that you only touch what is 100% necessary. We will also recommend that customers wear a protective mask / face covering
  • Where practical all samples / swatches will be cleaned between appointments

 

Returning to install your blinds

  • We will continue to offer an installation service for our products whilst always following government guidelines and safety procedures
  • The ideal option for an installation is for customers to leave their home to take exercise whilst an installation is carried out. This will allow us free movement throughout the property as required without worrying about maintaining a 2m social distance
  • Where this is not possible, we will request that customers stay in separate rooms to where the installation is taking place, maintaining the 2m social distance
  • We will ensure good hand hygiene by regularly washing our hands or using sanitiser before, during and after your installation
  • We will wear protective masks / face coverings in instances where the 2m social distance is not possible to maintain
  • We will ask that customers remove any items from window sills and that windows are easy to access with any furniture moved etc
  • We will ask for doors to be left open and rooms to be ventilated if possible, prior to our arrival
  • Where practical our tools and equipment will be cleaned between appointments

 

Balance Payments / Deposits

  • We will continue to take payment by cash, cheque or via card terminal
  • A minimum deposit of 50% will be required to place an order
  • All balances are due on completion of the installation
